Understandably concerned about security at Russellville Middle School amid bomb and gun threats by students that have yet to be identified, many parents have chosen to keep their kids out of school today.

RSD Communications Coordinator Ashley Snellenberger said attendance Monday was 792 students at the school, while Tuesday there were just 233 at RMS. The absences will be excused, due to the sensitive nature of the ongoing investigation.

As more information from police and administration becomes available, RVL will update readers.

All the parents at that school, need to take a good look at their childrens' computers, tablets, Iphones and any other tech they use for internet web sites and social media accounts. Check the history for texts, postings or comment that may be related or by the perpetrator of these threats. That person needs mental help before they harm someone or themslves. SAD! Where are their parents?
