Buffalo Wild Wings 479.967.1288
That's what the sign seems to say. If you have driven down East Parkway lately you've probably noticed a rather conspicuous sign in an undeveloped field next to Starbucks. Prominently emblazoned in bold yellow and black is the instantly recognizable symbol for Buffalo Wild Wings.
So, does that mean that we can expect a new Buffalo's to open here? Probably so. That is to say- a building plan has been submitted, a liquor license is being pursued, and of course a sign has been put up.
As of yet, however, there are a couple of details that must be hammered out before the new restaurant is a sure thing. First, obviously, all of the proper licenses need to be in place; but there is no reason to expect any problem with that.
Second, being located in a floodway with a large drainage ditch, an expensive culvert must be built along with a bridge to allow access from Parkway. Although this is a significant cost, other businesses such as Logan County Marine have found the cost justifiable.
Barring some major problem in the aforementioned areas, we can expect a new Buffalo Wild Wings to open in the near future.
The plan for the new restaurant includes access from Parkway and Weir Road to accommodate patrons, as well as a sizable parking lot so that there is room for everything from cars to 18 wheelers pulling off of the interstate.
The menu will, as the name suggests, feature hot wings. Also available will be salads, burgers, sandwiches along with beer and mixed drinks from the bar.
While built for the whole family, Wild Wings is especially tailored to sports fans. The dining area will feature a plentitude of plasmas (TVs) and the company promotes itself as "the ultimate place to watch the game, have a cold beer and eat some great food."
