Christopher Delacruz, 30 of Oceanside, Calif., faces the charges of possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia in a bond hearing on Friday.

According to an Arkansas State Police report, Delacruz was stopped by an Arkansas State Trooper on I-40 after the trooper observed Delacruz make an illegal lane change. While conducting the traffic stop, the trooper stated he approached the vehicle and smelled marijuana. After observing Delacruz acting very nervous, the trooper asked him for consent to search the vehicle. After receiving consent, the trooper found two duffle bags of high grade marijuana in the trunk of the 2012 Nissan Altima Delacruz was driving. Total weight of the marijuana found was 36 pounds.

The prosecutor recommended Delacruz's bond amount to be set at $25,000. Judge Bourne issued the requested amount and ordered Delacruz to appear in circuit court on March 4.
