Students Hold Annual Mardi Gras Parade

Students at St. John Catholic School in Russellville held their annual Mardi Gras Parade on Tuesday, February 21, 2012.  Mardi Gras is a New Orleans tradition  that marks the final day of celebration prior to the somber religious season of Lent.  Mardi Gras is held the day before Ash Wednesday.  Students dressed up and prepared miniature floats for the parade.  The students also feasted on King Cakes provided by the PTO.
