New Suspect in Stolen Vehicle Case

  20 year-old Brett Charron of Dardanelle was charged with theft by receiving after helping a friend transport a stolen vehicle.
               
On January 14 Pope County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a vehicle and scrap metal worth $1,100  had been stolen from a Russellville resident.
               
Police visited Charron’s home where his mother told them he could be located at his girlfriend’s home in Danville. On the first visit the girlfriend told police Charron was not there. Upon a second visit Charron fled the home on foot.
               
A foot chase ensued but police lost sight of Charron. Shortly after, Danville Police reported having caught Charron at a fence line where they held him at gunpoint until he was taken into custody.
               
Two other suspects have also been arrested in this case.
         
  Charron had one previous felony charge of destruction of government property but is no longer on probation. His bond was set at $20,000. His next court appearance will be March 5.
