Oakland Heights Elementary's S.T.E.P.S. Dance Recital will be presented at The Center for the Arts located at the Russellville High School, 2209 South Knoxville Avenue on Saturday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m. This will be the only performance of the year.

Grades 2 through 5 from St. John Catholic School in Russellville visited The Potts Inn and Museum on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. The museum is located in Pottsville and was a stage coach station during the 19th century. The students toured the inn itself and several other buildings of historical significance.

Russellville Middle School hosted their art show on Sunday, May 6, from 2-4 p.m at The Center for the Arts auditorium. The show featured exceptional work by students of impressionist landscapes and abstract self-portraits. Selected pieces of the art on displayed were for sale.

Dora the Explorer visited the Pre-K at St. John Catholic School in Russellville on March 28. Dora's visit was sponsored the Russellville Junior Auxiliary. Dora taught the students the importance of dental health.

The Cadron Company from The University of Central Arkansas presented "The King of the Ice Cream Mountain," for the the student body at St. John Catholic School in Russellville. The 45 minute play was presented on Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
